Best Party Games This Christmas

Christmas

Christmas is nearly here! It's a time where family and friends come together and celebrate with presents, huge meals, drinks, and games! To help make sure your Christmas get-together goes to plan we have put together a list of great party games for this Christmas.

Codenames: Pictures

Codenames with a twist! The words have been replaced by funky, artistic images. Examples of images in the game include a coat hanger with wings, a Buddha with a laptop, and a man surfing on an ironing board.

Players are split into two teams - blue and red - with one person on each side being nominated as the spymaster. Cards are laid out in a grid and the aim is to find all of the agents on your team. The spymaster on each side can see the locations of the agents and must give their team clues about the images on the board.

You are only able to say one or two words along with a number, which represents the number of cards linked to this clue. This game is sure to show how much you really know your friends and family - and how they think. A clue you say to one person may be confusing, but to another player it could be easy to understand.

You can find out more by reading out Codenames: Pictures review here.

Cash 'N' Guns

My favourite party game and, after going on about it for weeks, now the favourite of the whole office! In Cash 'N' Guns you and your family, or friends, take on the role of thieves who have just pulled off the biggest heist in history!

The only problem? You can't decide on who gets what now that you have all of this money, diamonds, and artwork. It's time to settle this argument through a game of Cash 'N' Guns. Each player is given a foam gun, three bullet cards, and five click cards. You even get to choose your own cartoon criminal to be your character.

The loot is placed in the middle of the table, in eight piles of eight. Each round you need to choose who to 'shoot' or who to pretend to shoot. Cash 'N' Guns is a game of bluffing as you try and hold your nerve in order to get the most loot.

A word of warning though. This game could be taken quite personal, depending on who you're playing with, as you are pointing guns at each other!!

One Night Ultimate Werewolf

Now here's a game that you can get everybody involved with. One Night Ultimate Werewolf is a card game that works alongside a mobile phone app. Everybody needs to sit in a circle on the floor before being given a character card.

Each character has a different ability and will be told what to do by the epic voice-over on the app. The aim of the game is simple: You work together to uncover who the werewolf is. Before the game starts, three cards are also placed in the middle of the circle. Face-down, so that nobody can see them.

Then you all close your eyes and the voice-over app begins to explain the game. Abilities and actions vary between different characters. For example, if you are a robber, you will be able to steal a card from another player and switch it with yours.

Bonds will be made and people will work together in order to trick the others. A warning we would to give is that voices may be raised during this game!

You can increase the fun with One Night Ultimate Werewolf expansions, such as Daybreak, and One Night Ultimate Vampire.

Game Of Thrones: Hand Of The King

A brand-new card game based on the epic TV programme Game Of Thrones. The king has called for a lavish feast and tourney, the likes of which have not been seen in the Seven Kingdoms since the days of Aegon the Conquerer. What’s more, the king has declared that at this feast, he will choose his new Hand — and you have a chance of rising to this lofty position.

You and your friends must battle to become the chosen one! Hand of the King is a game where you need to scheme and backstab in order to outwit your rivals. With the help of some companions and crafty alliances with other players, you just might rise to become the king’s new Hand!
