NEWS: Descent Act 2 Fantasy Flight

Charge those batteries and clear the table; it’s almost time to break out the next chapter of Descent. Fans have long been awaiting the next chapter of the app driven adventure and now, thanks to Fantasy Flight’s recent announcement, we now know that ‘Descent Act 2: The Betrayers War is just around the corner!

Picking up from where the first installment of the 2021 Descent franchise rework left off; the adventure continues. Although little is known about the challenges we’ll face in this new tale, we do know what we’ll be finding inside the box. This expansion promises a range of minis for the new enemies we’ll face, new cards and abilities for our 6 well worn adventurers, along with a plethora of quests, events, mechanics and new app features.

It’s also been revealed that Betrayers War will have a price tag of £174.99 on release, and will require the base game to play. Although this may seem like quite a lot for a board game, if the base game is anything to go by, you’ll get your value 3 times over by the time you’ve completed it. High quality terrain, detailed miniatures and a mind blowingly intuitive app that drives the game are just some of the reasons this game will work its way on to your favorites list.

Thankfully, there isn’t long to wait as Fantasy Flight Games have given a release window for this autumn.
