NEWS: Worms The Board Game

We have a Kickstarter launch date! The Kickstarter campaign between Mantic Games and Team 17 commences on the 29th of August and I am super excited.

I wrote a blog about this after seeing a little exhibit at the UKBE this year. There wasn’t a lot known at the start of July. We have had a little bit more since but still not a great deal so hopefully this campaign will give us all the answers we’re all waiting for.

What We Do Know Is….

The board is going to be made from hexes, there are pics out there and YouTube videos from the creators telling us this. It looks stunning!

The still pictures of the minis look incredible, some of the best I’ve ever seen with a board game. Take a look below.

There are now over 15,000 people following the launch on Kickstarter. This is up from 9,000 when I blogged back at the start of July showing a massive amount of appetite for the game.

For a generation of adults who were children in the late 90’s and early 00’s, Worms was an iconic video game on the PlayStation or PC. We are all hoping it lives up to our expectations and the hype. Bring on the Kickstarter!
