New at Zatu Games this week

A Game of Thrones 2nd Edition

Games_Of_Thrones

Here at Zatu we've had some exciting new products come in this morning, so here is the low down on what's new at Zatu Games this week....

  • Ticket to Ride First Journey- The the newest addition to the TTR family and primarily aimed at Children, this version features over sized train pieces, and a very clear concise map. The artwork and design style has also been completely reworked for this edition, featuring more vibrant colours and more of a cartoon style. Though the initial release features North America, a European stand alone version will be released shortly.
  • Beyond the Threshold- The first expansion to Mansions of Madness Second Edition brings six new tile along with two new investigators and a monster type to the fray. It is the two new scenarios however that give Beyond the Threshold its worth giving the core game some additional mileage. Mansions of Madness was one of the hottest releases of 2016 and is a personal favourite of mine, bringing all the great aspects of the first edition up to the modern age.
  • Kanagawa- Named after the Tokyo bay where a famous Japanese painter set up his school, this game sees players attempting to score as many points as possible by expanding their studio and painting great masterpieces, whilst paying attention to the changing of the seasons. As can be expected from a game about painting, Kanagawa features some beautiful artwork and some great components.
  • Castles of Mad King Ludwig- This tile laying game sets players the task of building the most amazing and extravagant castle for the King of Bavaria, and you certainly have some boots to fill as he has already constructed Neuschwanstein( The castle that inspired the Disney theme park castle). Each turn players will draft new rooms for their castle and score points for it based on its size and location within their structure, and like all good euro games the player with the most points at the end will be proclaimed the winner.
  • Game of Thrones: Hand of the King- this critically acclaimed card game pits players against each other as they attempt to rise to the position of Hand of the King. Set within the song of ice and fire universe this game like its inspiration is exceptionally vicious but what could you expect? in order to get to the top, some people have to fall.
