Renegade Games Announces First Hasbro Reprints

Hasbro Reprints x Renegade Games
Hasbro Reprints x Renegade Games

Popular game publisher Renegade Games have announced the continuing fruits of their licencing deal with Hasbro. Following on from the recent Four games are being reprinted under the Renegade name with quality of life upgrades throughout and two of the games getting visual upgrades. Gameplay will remain untouched according to the press release.

Risk Godstorm and Risk 2210 are the first two games. This Risk duo are being returned to print in presumably the same way they left. More excitingly Vegas Showdown and Nexus Ops are both receiving a proverbial lick of paint.

The Risk duo are two of the more highly regarded Risk games, both adding spins on the classic formula. Godstorm includes a suite of upgrades including the ability to storm the underworld and reclaim fallen troops. 2210 moves the game into the future and adds a turn limit which should mean games end in a more reasonable timeframe than the base variant!

Vegas Showdown is well known for its gameplay, and perhaps even more so its shoddy components and terrible looks. Presumably Renegade will upgrade the components as well as the visuals. Vegas Showdown sees you building on rooms and attractions to build the best casino possible.

Nexus Ops has been reprinted before by Fantasy Flight Games. Both this and the original Avalon Hill versions are well regarded area control games, and this reprint should have a lot of fans excited. This combat heavy game had glow in the dark minis – there is no word on whether these will return. Gameplay sees a variable map and mining factions made up of alien races that compete for control of ‘Rubium Ore’!

All four games are due in 2024. What Hasbro games would you like to see Renegade tackle next? Let us know on our socials or Discord channel!
