When Fantasy Flight Games said we would get plenty of content for their Living Card Game, Marvel Champions: The Card Game, they weren’t kidding. The newly announced Hero Pack featuring X-Men fan fave Psylocke brings the current total number of announced expansions up to 40!
After previously focusing on members of the Guardians of the Galaxy, Marvel Champions has been receiving a large amount of X-Men themed expansions. It makes a lot of sense, especially after FFG released their X-Men board game a few years ago and a lot of the chatter online questioned the absence of the mutants in Marvel Champions.
The latest Hero Pack brings the mutant Psylocke into the game with the customary 40 card pre-built deck as standard. We’re definitely excited to see what will be included in t latest deck! Using this character, players will start the game with two Psi-Energy upgrades in play. Switching between these two upgrades, Psylocke can boost her Attack or Thwart stats. It will be interesting to see how her unique mutant abilities will play out in-game. With a wide variety of Justice cards and Psylocke’s unique allies, it looks like this will be a very versatile expansion with which to increase your Marvel Champions collection when it hits shelves in September!
