Console gamers rejoice! The legendary city builder Anno 1800 is officially making its way to consoles later this year. For the first time in the 25 golden years that this renowned city builder has been around for, it’s finally making its console debut, and it’s doing it in style, baby!
The console version boasts beautiful graphics, the same thematic soundtrack you’d expect from Anno 1800 and an optimized UI for console controller use. It’s one hell of a way to make a statement on consoles and players are truly in for a treat.
If you’re looking to pick up a copy of Anno 1800 for your console, you have two options to choose from. THE standard edition will give you access to everything in the base game, including campaigns, PvP and co-op mode. Along with all of the game updates and improvements that have been released over the years on PC.
However, if you want to up your game in a whole new style, then the deluxe edition may be the version for you. Along with everything from the standard edition, you also get three cosmetic packs including the amusements pack which allows you to add theme park rides and stalls to your city.
But that’s not all! If you’re still looking for more, you can head over to the Sony and Microsoft stores now to purchase the ‘Early Adopters Offer’. This is included with whichever version you purchase and gives you free access to a digital artbook and downloadable soundtrack.
Unfortunately, it has been revealed that DLC packs that have already been released on PC will not be included on the console release and it’s not yet known if they will be available in the future.
So if you’re looking forward to building a whole new world from the console up, you don’t have long to wait! Anno 1800 is coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on the 16th of March 2023.
