New KTBG Kickstarter Announced: Lairs!

LAIRS

I’ve become a new fan of KTBG (Kids Table Board Gaming) recently having learned of Creature Comforts, Maple Valley, a very fun game. So my eyes are locked on what KTBG also has to offer and recently they have been creating a huge buzz about their upcoming Kickstarter on a new game, Lairs.

What’s clear from the social media is that the Kickstarter commences as of the 12th November, not long to wait. This is the bulk of the known information. Then it is also suggested that the game is strictly 2 players only, we’ll see what comes out here.

The notes from board game geek suggest the game is a strict 2 player game, for ages 10 and over and will take about 35 minutes to play through.

The idea behind the game is that you have worked hard to be a part of the adventurers guild. But, before you join you must face off against a rival for the place. You have to craft a dungeon full of obstacles, enchanted monsters, dead ends and traps for your opponent to work through, whilst at the same time navigating your way through your opponents dungeon as they attempt to create the same.

It is a game that tests your skills as well as building on your skill as you progress through. It has been suggested the game mechanics are light and simple to pick up. There are a few YouTube videos already out there on this one that take a deeper dive into the game rules. Some gamers have received prototype sets and give their feedback on the sets which is cool to see.

Save the date of November 12th. Let’s see what this Kickstarter campaign brings and what this new game promises for us when backing it.
