Blood Bowl is the original game of fantasy football in which players participate in hyper-violent matches, to win each team must try to score more touchdowns than their opponent. However, most players are more focused on bludgeoning their rivals in any way they can in order to incapacitate, maim or even kill them! After all, if a player happens to break their neck, there is one less player standing in the way of victory.

Legend has it that the only reason the Greenfield Grasshuggers exist is due to Berrybriar “Bingo” Fatfellow losing a bet in 2465. Halflings are not naturally suited to play Blood Bowl, with their small stature and affinity for eating and drinking, but their small size allows them to dash through the legs of their opponent’s legs with surprising success. During the offseason, their training regime consists of various feasts where an occasional Blood Bowl game might break out. The wealthier of Halfling teams will hire a Treeman into their ranks to add some much-needed strength, these hulking creatures are capable of stopping a rampaging minotaur in its tracks. The more courageous, or insane, Halfings will allow a Treeman to throw them down the pitch with sporadic success, leading to either a dramatic touchdown or a Halfling splatted over the floor, the crowd will ofter cheer louder for the latter.
