Description

The Lord of the Rings (LotR), the Card Game is a cooperative, Living Card Game (LCG) published by Fantasy Flight Games. One – two players (or up to four, with two core sets) take control of powerful characters and artifacts. Players will gather allies and coordinate efforts to take on the biggest threats to Middle-earth.

Beneath the Sands is the third of six adventure packs, each providing a structured scenario to play though. Collectively, the six scenarios form the Haradrim Cycle – An extended adventure that takes place after the events that unfolded in The Sands of Harad Deluxe expansion.

Note: This product is not a standalone adventure. Players will need a copies of The LotR card game: Core set and The Sands of Harad expansion in order to play.

The heroes break free of the pursuing Warg-riders and continue their journey, with no immediate threats. However, others are less fortunate. The heroes soon find evidence that giant spiders living in the dunes have begun to pull unsuspecting travellers beneath the sand. Compelled to help, the heroes descend into subterranean passages the spiders have made their lair. They must be vigilant and move fast if they are to recover anyone alive, and find a way back to the surface.

Beneath the Sands is played with an encounter deck formed of encounter sets: Beneath the Sands, Desert Creatures, and Harad Territory. The latter sets are found in The Sands of Harad expansion.

In this 60 card adventure pack you will discover a new Gondorian Scout hero for the Tactics sphere. New cards include Dúnedain and Rohan allies, six-legged enemies, and objectives and events that focus on exploration.
