When the Myriad dimension layers begin to wear thin, it’s no surprise that things begin to creep in from the vast beyond. Who can stop them from tearing up our dimension? That’s right. You. The one with accursed knowledge.
The Scarlet Keys Investigator Expansion features six new investigators for Arkham Horror: The Card Game. Each investigator brings with them new skills, techniques and mechanics that you can use to tame the horrors that lurk beyond. So let’s meet the crew:
Carson Sinclair, the butler, can serve additional actions to each of your turns. Vincent Lee, the doctor, can aid other players with his ‘On the mend’ cards that are applied to other players’ hands. Kymani Jones, the security consultant, can engage exhausted enemies and zip between locations like it’s nothing.
Amania Zidane, the operator, dabbles in doom and can bring in assets for less resources. Darrell Simmons, the photographer, can use his kodak to manipulate enemies and treacheries that plague locations. And finally, Charline Kane, the politician, has a posse of 3 additional allies and can exhaust them to get additional buffs during skill tests.
These investigators wouldn’t be complete without 6 individual mini cards adorned with the investigator art. Each of which can be used to mark your position in each location, and keep track of where you are.
You’ll also find 228 new player cards to utilize for deck building, and campaigns. Which includes the newest deck building mechanic, ‘Upgrading’, which uses new customizable cards that can be upgraded to an investigator’s liking.
