VIDEO: Escape Plan Unboxing

Escape Plan is the brand-new board game from Eagle-Gryphon Games and Vital Lacerda (Lisboa, Vinhos and The Gallerist). The game was originally launched on Kickstarter in July 2018, with over 6500 pledging a grand total of $659,609.

The Game

Escape Plan sees players taking on the role of a successful gang of thieves. The story goes that you have all just pulled off yet another successful bank heist, with most of the cash now hidden away or invested in business throughout the city. However, the police have just made a breakthrough. Accusations are now being made and you're all beginning to fall out because of the pressure now being put on your gang.

Just as you decide to go your separate ways, the SWAT Teams move in and start to close off the exits to the city. You must now get out of the city before it is completely locked down. Escape Plan is a tactical game with no direct conflict. It contains asymmetric roles set by missions that players may achieve during the game while avoiding the police.

The players' roles as thieves are individual with every player for themselves. In the end, the player who escapes with the most cash is the winner of Escape Plan.

Nick of Board Deck & Dice received his Kickstarter Edition of the game and got it straight onto the table for an unboxing video! As you will see in the video below, Escape Plan comes in a huge box - which is something we've come to expect from a Lacerda and Eagle-Gryphon Games collaboration.
