UKGE Postponed

UKGE
UKGE

After in depth consultation with sponsors, show partners and venues, the directors of UK Games Expo have made the tough decision to postpone the expo. UKGE original dates were 29th-31st of May 2020. The responsible decision comes in light of national guidance with regards to large gatherings and the current Covid-19 virus pandemic.

The directors, Richard and Tony, say they fully recognise that this decision will effect many people. While apologising for these effects they consider postponement at this stage maximises the chance to protect the health and wellbeing of all involved with UKGE. Postponing rather than cancelling the expo will also give the best opportunity to hold a successful 2020 show. Hopefully holding the Expo later in the year will minimise disruption and financial difficulty for the exhibitors who rely on UKGE for their incomes too.

New dates

The expo will now be held over 21st-23rd of August 2020. Still at the Birmingham NEC, but in halls 9,10,11 and 12 rather than halls 1,2 and 3.

All visitors and exhibitors who cannot attend the new dates for any reason will receive a full refund of tickets and stand fees.

If you wish your May tickets to be carried over to August you must visit www.ukgamesexpo.co.uk. If you log onto your account there you will see a ‘keep my orders’ button. Simply hit that and your tickets will be carried over to August. Anyone who doesn’t do this will have their orders automatically refunded on Monday 27th April.

When all of the details are certain tickets will go on sale for the new dates.

The UK Games Expo is the largest tabletop gaming convention in the country. No doubt it will not be the only tabletop gaming event to be effected this year.

Stay safe gamers!
