Welcome to the fourth part of our UK Games Expo preview. The UK Games Expo is the biggest gaming convention in the country and features many of the world's very best board game designers and publishers.
Visitors will be able to see brand-new games for the first time, and play some of their favourites with fellow gaming enthusiasts. The expo gets underway tomorrow and runs through until Sunday evening.
Here are just a few of the board games, publishers and designers who will be making an appearance.
Scrooge: The Board Game
UKGE 2017 will see the debut of Scrooge The Board Game LLP at stand K3. We will be play-testing and demonstrating the gameplay prototypes of our forthcoming title, Scrooge – The Board Game – a fiendishly funny, original, survival board game experience for families and fun-loving adults for one to six players.
Take on the role of one of Dickens’s famous characters and survive the adventure full of twists, trip-ups, trade-offs and moneymaking. Powered by five colourful card decks, 56 creatively inspired streets and 16 interactive and innovative street mechanics, it’s a strategic challenge right to the end - not to be ‘Scrooged Over’.
Discover how being in the lead isn’t always the best with the innovative play system that is never the same twice, creating hours of replay value. With strong social backing and wide interest in the creative power of the game, the team at Scrooge – The Board Game are excited to bring this fast-paced, family fuelled experience to UKGE for the first time.
Ian - Ravage: Dungeons of Plunder
Hi, I’m Ian Schofield, the creator and illustrator of Ravage: Dungeons of Plunder - which is now on Kickstarter.
I will be in the Play Test Zone on Saturday between 10am-1pm with Ravage, so if you want to smash the faces of your enemies for teef while you plunder the dungeons as Orcs come along and join us.
I will also be bringing my sketchbook so if you want to take a look at some of the original sketches for Ravage just ask. The UK Games Expo is a great place to network with publishers and designers and is my favourite convention and this will be my third year attending, its like Glastonbury for board gamers, but with cleaner toilets.

Walrus Games is an independent game designer focused on creating original, unique and rich worlds for people to lose themselves within. We are excited to announce our debut game: EVERDARK - ready for Kickstarter by June 17, 2017.
Everdark is set within a plane of reality where the city of Phos is lost stranded in eternal darkness, clinging to survival only through the grace of one ‘Great Light.’
Within this darkness are shifting and sleepless horrors - Skiá, formless and relentless, seeking to restore balance and purge the Everdark of the intruding city.
How the people of Phos got there, and what the Everdark is will remain a mystery that will be unveiled in future games.
The city itself is a rotating maze strategy game for 1-4 players, where teamwork is encouraged, but by no means guaranteed. Both co-operative and free for all, you must hastily navigate the constantly twisting and changing labyrinth of city streets and save the people from the horrors in the dark. Visit us at UKGE - trade stand E16 to test-play and see if you have what it takes to survive the Everdark!

District 31 returns to the UK Games Expo for its second year with a sweet new card game: CAKE OFF, which sees you competing to bake the most sorceress cakes in a magical bakery.
With a popular Pick and Pass mechanic and plenty of gorgeously illustrated cakes and ingredients, Cake Off is delicious fun for three to seven players of all ages.
In addition, our highly decorated stall will also feature a selection of monstrous images from our eagerly anticipated dice game, Eldritch.

In this creative-improv game, where players must create new movies based on their drawn criteria of genre, theme, and cast. Make sure you please your audience as winner is determined by popular vote.
Can you justify Arnie leading a serious drama set in Ancient Rome? Do you have the songs to make a smash hit musical about teen angst?
It won’t be long before you’re debating whose movie will be a box-office blockbuster, and whose is destined for the bargain bin of your local supermarket.
