The Lord of the Rings (LotR), the Card Game is a cooperative, Living Card Game (LCG) published by Fantasy Flight Games. One – two players (or up to four, with two core sets) take control of powerful characters and artifacts. Players will gather allies and coordinate efforts to take on the biggest threats to Middle-earth.

The Stewards Fear is the first of six adventure packs, each providing a structured scenario to play though. Collectively, the six scenarios form The Against the Shadow Cycle – An extended adventure that takes place after the events that unfolded in the Heirs of Númenor Deluxe expansion.

Note: This product is not a standalone adventure. Players will need a copies of The LotR card game: Core set and the Heirs of Númenor expansion in order to play.

Arriving in Minis Tirith, following events in the Heirs of Númeror, your heroes are summoned to the White Tower. Denethor, Steward of Gondor await you with rumour of a plot against Gondor. Rumours of a clandestine cabal operating within Minis Tirith itself weight on Denethors mind – it is said they plan to usurp the stewardship and deliver Gondor to the Dark Lord. Your heroes are tasked to investigate.

The Stewards Fear is played with an encounter deck formed of encounter sets: The Steward’s Fear, Streets of Gondor, and Brigands. The latter two sets are found in the Heirs of Númenor expansion.

In this 60 card adventure pack you will find a new hero for the leadership sphere. New allies of the Spirit and Lore spheres are on hand to help you undercover the truth behind the conspiracy.
