Lord of the Rings LCG: The Hobbit: On the Doorstep Expansion

The Lord of the Rings (LotR), the Card Game is a cooperative, Living Card Game (LCG) published by Fantasy Flight Games. One – two players (or up to four, with two core sets) take control of powerful characters and artifacts. Players will gather allies and coordinate efforts to take on the biggest threats to Middle-earth.

The Hobbit: On the Doorstep is the second Saga expansion for the LotR LCG. Saga expansions allows you to play scenarios adapted directly from the narrative told by Tolkien. In On the Doorstep, you will find three scenarios based on the second half of The Hobbit. These scenarios can be played individually, or linked together, to form a campaign.

This expansion contains 165 new cards, including five new hero cards: Balin, Bard the Bowman, Bilbo Baggins, Bombur, and Oin. As Bilbo and company draw close to Erebor they will encounter Elves, Goblins and the Men of Laketown. They cannot rest easy, even when reaching their destination, for the mighty Smaug has made the mountain his home. Outside, other threats grow. The coming of the Dwarfs has awoken the curioisty and greed of Man, Goblin and Elf.

Note: This product is not a standalone product. Players will need a copy of The LotR card game: Core set in order to play. A copy of The Hobbit: Over Hill & Under Hill is not necessary to enjoy this expansion – but the two have been designed to be played as one combined campaign.
