The Lord of the Rings (LotR), the Card Game is a cooperative, Living Card Game (LCG) published by Fantasy Flight Games. One – two players (or up to four, with two core sets) take control of powerful characters and artifacts. Players will gather allies and coordinate efforts to take on the biggest threats to Middle-earth.
Temple of the Deceived is the third of six adventure packs, each providing a structured scenario to play though. Collectively, the six scenarios form the Dream-chaser Cycle – An extended adventure that takes place after the events that unfolded in The Grey Havens Deluxe expansion.
Note: This product is not a standalone adventure. Players will need a copies of The LotR card game: Core set and The Grey Havens expansion in order to play.
Having survived a treacherous journey at sea, your heroes make land on a remote island. There, surrounded by mountain and jungle, the ruins of a long fallen civilisation still stand. Somewhere therein lies a chest, locked and mostly forgotten, undisturbed for centuries. Your heroes have the key, all that remains is to uncover the chest. However, between your heroes and their goal are countless undead, cursed to roam the island and find no rest. Every step forward is a step closer to danger.
Temple of the Deceived is played with an encounter deck formed of encounter sets: Temple of the Deceived, Ruins of Númenor, Drowned Dead, and The Stormcaller elite. The latter three sets are found in The Grey Havens expansion.
This 60 card adventure pack introduces a new hero for the Leadership sphere – and three copies of nine different player cards. The scenario included in this adventure also introduces new mechanics for players to discover.
