Description

Totally selfish behaviour and utter ruthlessness will be needed to stay alive in this Selfish: Zombie Edition card game. Only one person can survive the zombie apocalypse and get to the safety of the rescue helicopter! Use the remaining survival supplies to advance through a wasteland overrun with the undead, battling against broken ankles, roving bandits and most dangerous of all, each other, to win! Gameplay continues even after you’ve turned into a flesh-eating zombie, where you'll use your turns to terrorise and prevent your fellow players from winning the game! Full of clever puns and pop culture references, this merciless strategy card game includes 5 Player Cards, 41 Wasteland Cards, 48 Supplies Cards, 33 Game Cards, 5 Reference Cards, 1 Chopper Card, 1 Zombie Dice, 1 Mission Guide. Don't forget to share your most selfish victories on social media using #selfishgame! Ages 7+. 20 mins playtime.

Think you can stay alive in this bloodthirsty fight for survival? Think again!

In this very selfish board game for 2-5 players (Selfish Zombie Edition) you’ll be playing against the game, sure, but mostly against each other as you trap, steal cards, and much, much, more to be the person to get to the helicopter and fly off to safety, laughing as all the others become zombies and die. And even if you die before the person flies off, the adventure doesn’t end there! You become a zombie and make sure that all the other players turn out to be zombies like you. Get ready to be selfish to win!

In Selfish, zombie edition, trying to get to the helicopter may look easy but you will have to face zombies blocking you into dead ends to twisted ankles and taking shortcuts through sewers. You will (hopefully) travel up block by block till you reach the helicopter but with 3 wasteland cards turning you immediately into zombies and plenty more hiding a nasty surprise you can never feel safe.

If you like fun, short and very interactive games, then choose your character out of 5 awesome people and get playing!

How To Play

How to play is quite simple really. On your turn you take a game card, then you can use as many action cards as you like and finally you can play 1 supply card to stay where you are or you can play 2 supply cards to move on 1 space filling the empty slot behind you with a wasteland card. You must follow what the wasteland card says to do, whether it is good or bad (unless you have played an action card that says you don’t have to) and then your turn is over. If you run out of supplies then you become a zombie.

This continues until someone makes it to the helicopter and the game ends. When the game ends everyone who is not in the helicopter dies. If you become a zombie though before the game ends you must roll the dice to see how many actions you get then you can move up or down, by using an action or/and steal a random card from another player and discard it also costing 1 action. How many times you can do each depends how many actions you roll on the dice. That’s all!

Thoughts On Selfish Zombie Edition

I think this is a very good game. It took me under 10 minutes to figure out how to play so it isn’t that complicated, but in the first time I played everyone got turned into zombies and nobody won (In the second time playing, I won, obviously). I like how even when you die you can become a zombie and sabotage everyone else so you’re not sitting there waiting for everyone else to finish because I have about a 2 second patience span. While you are a survivor, you are constantly being attacked by other players or the game.

I also love the theme of zombies because, come on, zombies are awesome and only fend for themselves so fits with the name of the game. This game really brings out the worst and most
selfish in people and I love it. The characters are well illustrated and cartoony and I like that when you flip the character card over when you die, you have a zombie version of them.

The different wasteland and action cards are funny and imaginative and really make you feel part of the zombie world.

My particular favorite is the action card, Zombie Trap, which allows you to rearrange the top 3 wasteland cards so you can put a really terrible one for someone you hate. Eg. Your sibling or
least favorite friend. Out of all of the selfish games (and there are a lot of them), this one is my favorite because even when you are out you can become a zombie and keep playing by taking all the other players down with you.

All in all, if you want a nice easy, quick and fun card game then Selfish Zombie Edition is for you. If you are into more complicated games check out pandemic or duel. Other games like this game, I would recommend are Happy Little Dinosaurs and Exploding Kittens. Join the fun (and zombies) today!
