The first volume in this collection presents P. Craig Russell’s adaptation of one of Mozart’s most famous works, The Magic Flute – a farcical tale mixed with fantasy. In the second volume, Russell presents classic adaptations of Richard Wagner’s Parsifal from the legend of the Holy Grail, Ariane & Bluebeard by Maeterlinck and Dukas, The Clowns from I Pagliacci by Leoncavallo, as well as two songs by Mahler: ‘The Drinking Song of Earth’s Sorrow’ and ‘Unto This World’. The third volume concludes with Pelleas & Melisande by Maeterlinck and Debussy and Salome by Richard Strauss.
