Description
The longest and most ambitious work to date by Anders Nilsen, one of the most critically acclaimed cartoonists of his generation. Taking a cue from the school of Automatic Writing, a process born out of a stream of consciousness followed by limited editing and rearranging (an aesthetic mode that became the foundation of the Surrealist Movement), Nielsen began work on Monologues. The results are experimental and absurdist but the book is a page-turner and some of it is laugh-out-loud funny. It is a beautifully and uniquely packaged tour de force.
