The Arkham Horror: The Card Game - Edge of the Earth Investigator Expansion is a brand new type of Arkham Horror. The set contains no encounter cards at all, and only focuses on the 5 brand new investigators. All of them have a new deck building strategy, and all of them are thematically and gameplay-wise rich in story and fun.
Lily Chen, The Martial Artist is a Mystic with the ability to play Guardian cards, reaching 5 strength relatively easily. This lets her stand toe-to-toe with the biggest enemies and soak up threats for the rest of the team. “Monterey” Jack, The Archeologist is a Rogue+Seeker with bonuses for travelling far, letting Jack fill his deck with cards that reward him for moving and sticking it out alone, while also helping the team from afar with Rogue cards.
Bob Jenkins, The Salesman revolutionises play for multiplayer playgroups. On top of being thematically great, Bob’s ability allows him to buy an Item asset from any other player’s hand. Want to beat an entire scenario without moving? Bob lets you do that. Norman Withers, The Astronomer essentially increases your hand size by one, letting you play with the top card of your deck flipped. Not only that, you can swap it with any card in your hand, meaning shuffle effects can now effect it! Finally, Daniela Reyes, The Mechanic is the tankiest tank to ever tank. She can dodge anything, hit back, and shrug anything that does hit off.
