5-Minute Dungeon is a chaotic, co-operative, real-time card game in which players have only five minutes to escape the randomized dungeon. Communication and teamwork are critical to survival because there's no time to form a carefully considered plan and no predicting what dangers lie ahead.
In more detail, players assume the role of one of ten heroes, each with special cards and abilities. Once the five-minute timer starts, the race is on to defeat all the monsters inside the dungeon. In order to defeat a monster, players must match symbols from their hand with ones on the monster's card. At the end of each dungeon is a powerful dungeon boss and after the first boss is defeated, the campaign continues to the second boss. Each boss, and each randomized dungeon, gets harder until players reach the fifth and final boss.
Grab your swords, shields, scrolls and fellow players, however leave your sanity at the door, because it’s going to get messy in the 5 minute dungeon!
Adults and kids alike, this game is all about having fun and screaming your head off with excitement!

The Game Theme and Setup
The more the merrier and the more the crazier! This fast pace game is for between 2-5 players, I prefer it best with 4 but it definitely holds up well to all player counts. The game objective is simple is simple, get through all the dungeon doors and past the various Monster and obstacles that are contained within them, which increase per round (5 rounds in total), until you reach the end bosses, which include, a Monster baby, a freakin dragon! And the dungeon Master himself!
The game oozes theme and its artwork suggest a fun and amusing trip ahead, but don’t doubt for a second this will be an easy quest as you quickly find out, it’s anything but!
App importance – What is a must, is that any owner of this game downloads the free app for gameplay, its available on both IOS and Android. It is also amusing within itself, guiding you through each 5 minute adventure.
So you’re ready to go – well you think you are, let the craziness begin!
Each player has their own specialised deck of cards, dependant on their special ability players can do such things as stop time or discard cards to defeat monsters. You start with a certain number of cards depending on the amount of players involved.
However don’t waste those cards, once there used you are powerless and all you can do is watch that timer tick away. The timer starts and the madness begins, you turn each card one after another until you meet the boss of each round.
The fun begins as you shout out what is needed to defeat the obstacles in front of you, and there it is players in blind panic throw cards down and cards are wasted, you cannot pick them back up! So in this crazy 5 minute game you must discuss tactics while trying to battle endless monsters and events that are all designed to make you crazy with panic, laughter and excitement!
All I can say from personal experience is good luck and remember leave your sanity at the first door!
Kid Friendly?
YES YES AND YES AGAIN! – In truth this game couldn’t be anymore simpler, even a 5 year old could understand it, which in the case of my son, this is 100% correct.
We may not always complete the whole game but it’s quick, fun, and easy to learn and off course limits brainless TV time!
On the plus side development skills are also definitely in play here and everyone is having way too much fun to notice.
Overall Opinion
Again I said it at the start and I will say it again, it’s a no brainer, just buy this game and buy it ASAP! You cannot go wrong if you’re a serious gamer or looking to get people into the hobby this game is a must!
A great example of this, is that a couple of weeks ago myself and my family successfully got non gamers into this game and they had already pre ordered on ZATU before they had even gone home! Amber can vouch for that as I sent her the messenger screenshot from the new gamer!
5 minute dungeon is a huge hit and you would be crazy to let it pass you by, especially at the great value it is on ZATU! ORDER NOW!
