Well, would you look at who's back and looking better than ever? That’s right it’s Paper Mario! As announced in the most recent Nintendo Direct showcase, Paper Mario Thousand Year Door is coming to the Nintendo switch in a brand new remaster.
Originally released on GameCube in 2004 to critical acclaim, it has since become one of the most requested games to be remastered for the Nintendo switch; and it’s great to see that Nintendo have finally given in to fans.
For those that haven’t had the pleasure of experiencing Thousand Year Door, you’re in for a real treat with this installment. Fans will take on the role of Mario as he travels to rogue-port to meet Princess Peach and follow the trail of a mysterious treasure map that Peach discovered. Unfortunately, upon arriving, he discovers that Peach has been kidnapped again, and so our hero sets off on an adventure to find the hidden treasure and rescue Princess Peach.
Featuring over 30 hours of gameplay, Thousand-year door promises all of the same memorable moments and characters from the original game whilst bringing the same distinctive art style into the new age with the potential of the Nintendo Switch.
Although we still have a while to wait before Paper Mario: Thousand Year Door comes to the Nintendo Switch in 2024, there’s more remasters on the horizon. Nintendo recently treated fans to the announcement of the Super Mario RPG Remaster coming to the Nintendo Switch which is ready and available to buy from the Zatu Store. So what are you waiting for?
