KTBG NEWS! A Brand New Game

catan news

Kids Table BG have sneaked a view of a new game coming out!

From the creators of Creature Comforts and Maple Valley it appears to be news on the next game in the series. We have been given a sneak peak on instagram of the box art with the following comment against the post.

“Hmmm… what's this? Maybe a little something of interest for fans of Creature Comforts and Maple Valley”

We cannot even see the title of the game. The first word looks like River…? I think. We have three furry critters (a bear, beaver and hedgehog (I think) holding onto fishing gear so this would match up. A second social media post highlighted the game to be called ‘River Market’. It looks as good as its two predecessors!

Reading through the comments, KTBG hinted that there may be a preview at PAX.

A note from the publisher on bgg:

“It’s Summertime in Maple Valley and the River Market is open for business! The narrow streets and waterways are bustling with vendors hawking their wares and customers in search of a good bargain. The market is growing, with new businesses opening all the time. Pick your path carefully, hire the right help, and set up a shop (or two) of your own in this quick, lively game for the whole family!

River Market is the new standalone game set in the cozy world of Creature Comforts, designed by Roberta Taylor and published by KTBG. As forest critters, players take turns moving around the River Market activating the buildings they visit, hiring helpful new employees, and adding their own new businesses. Gameplay is quick, and before you know it, the market will be closed for another day. Will you make the biggest contribution to growing the River Market? You’ll have to play to find out!

River Market plays one to four critters in about 30 minutes.”

This is all very exciting news nonetheless!
