News – Sadler Brothers team up for Hour of Need

Hour of Need Revealed

The Sadler Brothers are teaming up for a superhero board game called Hour of Need. You might have seen their work previously, in Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game, Heroes of Terrinoth and The Walking Dead: No Sanctuary. This new title will be published by Blacklist Games.

Hour of Need - What we Know

Hour of Need is a co-operative game for one to four players. It's based on the Modular Deck System which was implemented in Street Masters, Brook City and the upcoming Altar Quest. This system has the potential to expand easily by adding new decks.

The universe of the game is said to be inspired by modern comic books. This means that multiple realities are all joined together by an inter-dimensional area called the Astrallacy.

Four players join together to control superhero good guys fighting against the plots of the evil villain. Each Hero has a modular deck of cards that a player uses to perform actions, in order to solve and thwart the enemies' plans. The scenarios are created by combining villains and event cards. The combination of heroes, villains and scenarios adds the potential for plenty of replay-ability within Hour of Need.

Coming Soon

Hour of Need is due to hit Kickstarter on the November 5. Expansions for the game, including a fifth and sixth player, have already been confirmed. The game features fast gameplay, highly detailed miniatures and modular decks for the heroes, villains and scenario.
