Final Fantasy is a hugely popular science fiction/fantasy gaming franchise that have been around since the late 1980's. In fact, the series is one of the best-selling video game franchises of all time - selling more than 115 million copies worldwide.

The first three Final Fantasy installments were released on the NES console and were followed by three more instalments on the SNES. Since then there have been a further eight games in the main series, along with different spin-offs and remakes.

Each game in the main series has a different story plot. Each release counts as a new volume in the series. Although they are different, each story focuses on a group of characters battling an evil enemy or organisation.

Stories also revolve around the characters that we play as! We learn more about their relationships with each other, whether it be love or jealousy. Gamers really do have a great understanding of the players they control.

Final Fantasy XV

The fifteenth installment in the Final Fantasy series was announced 10 years ago! Production also started around the same time which means that developers Square Enix have had a very long time to perfect this game.

In XV players will take on the role of Noctis, the Crown Prince of Lucis, with the mission of reclaiming your homeland from the clutches of the imperial army. The story in Final Fantasy XV will begin with Noctis en-route to wed his fiancee Luna with his best friends.

During the road trip he becomes of aware of troubles in his homeland through news reports. Lucis has been invaded and taken over through the false pretense of a peace treaty. According to the news report Noctis and his fiancee, along with his father King Regis have all be killed by the enemy.

Noctis and his friends must now travel across the breathtaking world of Eos to save his home. Players will come across huge beasts and unforgiving enemies along the way, as they travel through diverse cultures and beautiful landscapes.

Eos has its own weather system will will effect the characters in different ways, as will the day-and-night system. One day in the game equates to one hour real-time. If your characters do not rest, their combat ability will decrease.

Players must ensure that they allow their characters to sleep in order to level-up and defeat the various monsters that they will encounter.
