We have all become familiar with hearing about it, but what exactly is it? COVID-19 is a new illness that affects your lungs and airways. It is caused by a virus called coronavirus.

The main symptoms include a high temperature and a new, continuous dry cough. Everyone must currently stay at home to help stop COVID-19 from spreading. Remember, you can spread the virus even if you don’t have symptoms.

We are currently in the midst of the biggest public health emergency the world has seen in a very long time. This means that many of society’s most vulnerable are at even higher risk and in greater need of outside assistance.

It is because of this that the National Emergencies Trust have launched an appeal to raise funds in order to help make a difference to people when they need it most.
