Celebrate Captain America – The Face of Mystery Date

Captain America - Chris Evans in Mystery Date

Did you know that Captain America was once the face of Mystery Date? That's right! Chris Evans was once a star of the popular board game, Mystery Date.

The now-famous Marvel actor graced the cover of the 1999 edition of the game. The then 18-year-old was simply known as Tyler (The Beach Date) in the game. He can be seen relaxing on the telephone on the front cover. Artwork within the game also shows Chris Evans with his surf board. You can see images of the game in the original new report.

This find has put us in the mood for some Captain America and Marvel-themed games and collectables. We suggest you take a look at the following titles:

Captain America Funko Pop (Endgame)

Avenger's Endgame was arguably the most anticipated movie of all time. The conclusion of the Infinity Saga; 20+ movies featuring Captain America, Ironman and the rest of the Avengers. This Funko Pop of Captain America includes one of his looks in the movie.

Captain America is dressed in his white time travelling costume. In the movie, several characters wore these outfits which would allow them to travel back in time to collect the Infinity Stones. Cap also has his traditional hear gear on, and looks like he's ready to fight.

Given the outcome of the movie, this Captain America Funko Pop is one that you NEED to add to your collection.

Legendary Marvel: Civil War

One of the most popular Marvel movies was the Civil War entry in the Captain America series. This movie saw Cap and Ironman go head-to-head in a battle which would eventually tear the Avengers apart. Given the events that would take place a few years later, this event had huge consequences.

Fans of Legendary Marvel can now experience the comic book version of this storyline; in the Civil War Expansion. In the expansion, you can now team up with a partner and take sides against the opposition while playing through the Civil War. The game features playable characters from both sides of the Super Hero Registration act.

Thanos Rising

It's time for you and your friends to take on the role of Captain America and the Avengers. Thanos Rising is a co-operative board game based on the events of Infinity War. In the game, players recruit heroes and assemble a team to fight Thanos and his team of villains.

The game uses the setting of the movies with many of the familiar faces appearing as their iconic Marvel characters. You must build your team wisely, with each team leaning towards elements such as Battle, Technology, Mystic and Cosmic.

If your team doesn't win, Thanos uses the Infinity Stones and destroys half of the universe. There ain't no time travelling here!

Marvel Studios 10th Anniversary Legendary

Celebrate 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with this special edition of Legendary. This version boils it down the core heroes of the original printing, so you don't need to worry about owning any expansions.

There is a new mastermind in the form of Iron Monger, complete with new villain groups gamma hunters and Iron Foes. Each of the different type of hero cards have a different image on them, which, like all of the cards in here, are taken from scenes within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) films.
