Board Game Advent Calendars Coming 2025!

This is definitely one of the more confusing headlines I have come up with. However Mantic games announced to backers of the Worms board game on the 5th of February that they are launching a gift advent calendar edition of one of their latest creations. This will be available to back on Kickstarter very soon and they are promising the set will be with backers in time for December 2025.

This news actually broke at the end of January on Instagram and it is not the first time they have made an advent game based around one of their games. This is something they do. From what they have noted, backers will be sent through 24 parts of a game, a part for each day of Advent. So come Christmas the backers will have a complete game to play, which actually sounds very cool.

Customers can go to Kickstarter now and check to be notified of the pending Kickstarter campaign. There’s clearly an interest for this as at time of writing there are over 1700 people awaiting the launch of the Kickstarter.

Mantic have promised this is a full standalone game which is telling me you do not need to be an owner of the Worms board game to be able to use this. This is a positive for anyone who doesn’t. Although, I would recommend the main game.

The news received suggests there will be other options of calendar to back also. From Kickstarter the Games Deep-Space and Barroom Brawl are some options.

It seems mad talking about Christmas and Advent in February, unless you are my children, which is quite normal. This news is definitely something to look forward to at the end of the year.
