Antoine Bauza is a French board game designer known for creating a variety of popular and innovative games that have received critical acclaim and numerous awards. He was born on March 19, 1978, in France and started designing board games as a hobby while studying computer science.
Bauza’s career took off in 2009 with the release of his game “Takenoko,” which won the As d’Or Jeu de l’Année (Game of the Year) award in France. He went on to create many other successful games, including “7 Wonders,” which won numerous awards and became a popular game worldwide. He also designed “Hanabi,” a cooperative card game that won the Spiel des Jahres award in 2013, one of the most prestigious awards in the board gaming industry.
Bauza is known for his creative and innovative designs, often blending different game mechanics and themes to create unique gameplay experiences. His games are also known for their accessibility, with simple rules and engaging gameplay that can appeal to a wide range of players.
